Nisha Purushothaman’s “mama moments” collection captures these intimate connections, focusing primarily on big cats and their cubs. From tender nuzzles to protective glances, these images reveal the softer side of powerful predators. Her collection also includes heartwarming scenes of giraffes, elephants, and other species.

Many of these images were captured during photography expeditions in the Masai Mara. Nisha uses Mara Trails Camp, a sustainable safari camp in which she is part owner, as her home base in Kenya. From this location, she shares the beauty and vulnerability of wild family bonds. It’s a reminder of the importance of preserving these species and their habitats for future generations.
