Western North America, with its vast forests, rugged mountains, and pristine lakes, is a haven for wildlife. Photographers can explore spectacular selection of national parks ranging from Yellowstone and Jasper to Kitasoo and Banff. From grizzly bears and big horn sheep to elk and bison, the North West is home to some of the biggest species on the continent.

Nisha Purushothaman has recently relocated to British Columbia, Canada. She is now building her connection to the wildlife native in this area. As she explores this new terrain, her photography reflects her appreciation for the creatures inhabiting these landscapes. Through her lens, she captures both the power and fragility of the region’s wildlife. By showcasing the majestic creatures of the North West, Nisha hopes to encourage the preservation of the wilderness.
